Dr. R Perumal Rajan, M.S., P.G.D.H.M, FAIS; Chairman
He completed his graduation from Coimbatore Medical College and M.S. (Gen. Surg.) from JIPMER, Pondicherry. He has been a faculty in the Dept. of Surgery, Coimbatore Medical College since 1989 and retired as the Prof.& HOD Surgery with the additional responsibilities of Medical Superintendent & Officiating Dean.
He has guided about 60 PG dissertations involving Clinical Research. He has also been an Examiner and Chairman of the External Evaluation Committee for PG dissertations in all Medical Universities of South India. He has presented around 12 Research Papers in National conferences. He has chaired several sessions in National conferences for the Association of Surgeons, Endocrine Surgeons, Rural Surgeons, Gastroenterologists, etc. He has coordinated & actively involved in MCI inspections in Medical colleges.
He has also been a Member of the Committee for PG course & MBBS affiliation - Dr.MGR Medical University & Government of Tamilnadu, Department of Medical Education. He is keenly involved in Research, Clinical trials & evaluation of Male infertility since 1975.
